Winter League
Our Winter League runs from April to September, musters are run in March to place children into teams.
During the Winter season you can find out game times / venues etc by going to the WAIBOP website and click on “Draws”. PLEASE NOTE: WAIBOP may change details after the initial draw has been uploaded so make sure you come back to this site every Thursday afternoon/night to check changes to your weekend’s game.
For cancellations: if you are playing at home we will post cancellations on our FB page early Saturday morning. For away games please check the WAIBOP website under the “Competitions” tab and then click on “Cancellations”.
WAIBOP Message: Managing Game Day
The new junior football season has kicked off and its great to see young players from across our Federation enjoying the beautiful game! The start of each new season does sometimes bring challenges for those managing the Game Day experience, especially when things don’t go to plan. So, we have produced a guide that we hope will assist you in your endeavour to make each game day as enjoyable and beneficial as it can be for everyone involved. The guide will provide you with some considerations and solutions to better manage the games that may require some ‘out of the box’ adjustments.
Over time we have found that the most important factor to ensuring games are enjoyed by everyone is the willingness of the coaches from each team to work together to make sure that every player is enjoying their football experience. We strongly urge coaches to stand together and find the best solution should a game be unbalanced or lop-sided. Remember that when young players stop enjoying the game they stop playing the game.
Summer League
Summer League Football runs during Terms 1 and 4 of each year. The league is open to groups from Years 0-2 (four is the youngest age), 3&4, 5&6 and 7+ on weekday afternoons. Click on the events tab for more information on this league.
Free Goal Keeping Coaching
Our Life Member Brett runs goal keeping coaching sessions at Waipuna Park on Wednesday afternoons and Sunday mornings. Brett is so passionate about keeping and loves to share his knowledge with the kids.
